2007 Pooley Butchers Hill Pinot Noir

Pooley Butchers Hill Pinot Noir

Pooley Butchers Hill Pinot Noir is our first vintage from the new vineyard at Belmont, Richmond. This is a new release single-site wine that is bright and lively.

Overlooking the Coal River Valley and historic Richmond Village, the vineyard is on the side of Butchers Hill, facing north where it captures the sun all day. The soils are well drained dolomite with limestone underlayer. The Butchers Hill vines were planted in 2003 and have yielded good crops. The 2006 Pinot was the first wine produced from these vines and we have been pleased with the quality.

Enjoy this exciting new Pinot Noir – it has a long life ahead.
